The Best Connection are proudly recruiting for a PICKER & PACKER to join a well-established client in EAST GRINSTEAD, operating within the FOOD PRODUCTION INDUSTRY and supplying high-quality products to commercial and private customers. LOCATION: East Grinstead INDUSTRY: Food Production HOURS FOR PICKER AND PACKER: Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 8pm or Tuesday to Saturday 6pm to 4am PAY: £12.71 an hour KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PICKER & PACKER: * Working in a chilled environment picking and packing food products accurately to customer orders * Weighing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch * Ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards, reporting any issues to the relevant department * Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the packing area * Working closely with other departments to meet daily targets. * Complying with health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times * Placing damaged goods into the quarantine area for return or reporting * Assisting with the movement of stock from goods-in to the warehouse or packing area, including stock put-away REQUIREMENTS OF THE PICKER & PACKER: * MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH AND AROUND MEAT PRODUCTS. * Previous experience in food production, packing, or butchery is desirable but not essential * Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately * Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team * Comfortable working in a chilled environment * Physically fit and capable of manual handling * Good understanding of health and safety practices If you are interested in a role within the FOOD PRODUCTION industry, please click the APPLY NOW button.
