Reporting To: Managing Director
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, cost control, and full compliance with UAE financial regulations. The role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making, managing cash flow, and maintaining strong financial controls across manufacturing, trading, and distribution activities in the perfume industry.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts.
• Analyze financial performance, variances, and profitability by product, brand, and channel.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting
• Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor budget utilization and implement cost-control measures.
• Evaluate production costs, raw material pricing, and overhead expenses.
Cash Flow & Treasury
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory financing.
• Coordinate with banks on facilities, LC, TR, and credit limits.
Costing & Inventory Control
• Oversee product costing, including raw materials, packaging, labor, and overheads.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
• Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock provisions.
Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, Corporate Tax requirements, and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audits.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and internal controls.
Team Management
• Lead and supervise the finance and accounts team.
• Assign responsibilities, review performance, and provide guidance and training.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Systems & Process Improvement
• Manage and optimize accounting systems.
• Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Support digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in perfume, FMCG, manufacturing, or trading sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial regulations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
