Data Analyst - finance, power BI, DAX Opportunity
The Job
As a Data Analyst, you will turn raw data into actionable insights that will directly influence commercial decisions, improve operational efficiencies, and shape strategic planning. You will be working with Finance, Operations, and Technology teams, interpreting key performance trends, monitoring financial and operational indicators, and enhancing our organization’s ability to make evidence-based decisions.
You will also build and dashboards in Power BI using DAX
Key responsibilities include:
• Analysing financial, operational, and case data to uncover trends, anomalies, and performance drivers.
• Translating complex data models into clear business narratives for stakeholders.
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders to define KPIs and validate metrics.
• Improving data quality and enhancing reporting pipelines.
• Building and maintaining robust MS Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX.
• Providing analytical commentary for monthly reporting cycles and project reviews.
• Assisting in developing automated data models for financial forecasting and workload tracking.
• Championing data accuracy, governance, and documentation.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI using DAX
• Ability to interrogate and manipulate large datasets from relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL).
• Demonstrated ability to present data findings in business-friendly formats.
• Commercial awareness and experience interpreting financial and operational data.
• High attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills.
The Company
This is a dynamic and scaling business with about 200 employees. Their work is super interesting, the industry is LegalTech - but that doesn't describe how interesting the work is.
The team is super freindly and they have very nice offices in Central London.
