Job Summary

Bluebird Care Newmarket & Fenland is a family-run, private domiciliary care provider delivering premium, bespoke and person-centred home care.

We are recruiting Care Assistants to deliver high-quality domiciliary care and home care services to customers in Newmarket and the surrounding villages. This is a community-based Care Assistant role, therefore all Care Assistants must be drivers with their own car.

Whether you are an experienced Care Assistant, Home Care Assistant, Domiciliary Care Worker, or new to care, we provide full Care Assistant training and ongoing support.

Care Assistant Responsibilities
• Delivering person-centred domiciliary care as a Care Assistant in customers' own homes
• Providing personal care including washing, dressing, and grooming
• Supporting medication administration in line with care plans
• Preparing meals and supporting nutrition
• Carrying out light domestic duties
• Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Completing care records accurately

Care Assistant Pay & Benefits
• £15.80 per hour
• 30p per mile paid mileage

Care Assistant Requirements
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Access to your own car for work (essential)
• Willingness to travel between customer visits
• Availability to work alternate weekends
• Right to work in the UK
• Caring, compassionate, and reliable nature

Previous experience as a Care Assistant, Home Care Assistant, or Domiciliary Care Worker is beneficial but not essential - full training provided.

Additional Information

This Care Assistant role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
