You will contribute to the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and support children and young people with a wide range of health needs across schools, clinics, homes and community venues.Working under the supervision of a Senior School Nurse or Team Leader, you will manage a delegated caseload and play a key role in promoting physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, early intervention and prevention.Main responsibilitiesSupport the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme across universal and targeted servicesUndertake health assessments and provide evidence-based advice and interventions for children and young peopleDeliver health promotion activities within schools and community settingsSupport vulnerable children and families in line with safeguarding and early help frameworksWork collaboratively with schools, families and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children and young peopleContribute to school and community-based drop-in clinicsMaintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement initiativesParticipate in supervision, training and continuing professional developmentAbout youYou will be a Registered Nurse with a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people. You will be confident working within a multidisciplinary team and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.You will have:Current NMC registration as a Registered NurseExperience of working with children, young people and familiesStrong communication and organisational skillsKnowledge of safeguarding, child development and evidence-based practiceA full driving licence and access to a car for community workingExperience within school nursing, health visiting or community nursing would be desirable, but not essential.
